Choose the pricing layer
Go to Dashboard → Selling → My Forms → Edit form → BUILD, then select Products on the canvas. Catalog pricing, form-wide sales, and advanced automatic offers require Products, options, prices, and stock permission. Buyer-entered coupon definitions instead require Coupons permission.
- A variant Price is its required regular amount. Explicit
0means free. - A product or variant Sale Price applies during its optional start and end window.
- Product or variant bulk tiers change catalog pricing when quantity reaches a threshold.
- Products → Sales holds form-wide tiers, free-shipping rules, and targeted automatic offers.
- A Coupon Code block accepts buyer-entered codes.
- A seller can add a saved coupon or a one-off manual discount while editing an existing order.
Catalog promotions and automatic sales need no buyer-entered code. Coupons do.
For product-wide pricing, expand the product card, open Pricing & promotions, and click Product Sale or Product Bulk. For one variant, find Variants & Pricing and click its Sale or Bulk control. Enter the revealed sale price/dates or bulk tiers. Click the builder's top-level Save changes to make your settings live; autosave protects recovery drafts only.
Know which catalog price wins
A product-level sale uses one sale price across that product's variants. A product-level bulk tier counts quantity across all variants of the product. When either product-level promotion is configured, it owns that product's catalog promotion and variant sale or bulk settings are ignored and cleared by current writers.
At one level, sale price and bulk pricing are mutually exclusive. Sale prices cannot raise an option above its regular price. To remove a variant sale, click the × button titled Remove sale beside its sale fields. For a product-wide sale, use the × titled Remove product sale in Pricing & promotions. Click Save changes to make the removal live.
Bulk tiers support:
- Percent off each qualifying unit.
- $ off each qualifying unit.
- Variant-only $ off line total, which subtracts the fixed amount once from that variant's complete line.
For example, 3 × $250 with $20 off each is $690. The same line with $20 off line total is $730, before form-wide sales, coupons, shipping, or fees. Product-level tiers cannot use a one-time line discount because their quantity can span several variant lines.
Configure a form-wide sale
Open the Products block's Sales tab. Turn on Form-wide sale active, enter Sale name and optional Starts / Ends, then click + Add beside Subtotal tiers or Quantity tiers, or add both kinds. Set each threshold and benefit, then click Save changes. For every matching tier, EZFormz calculates the exact savings and applies the greatest benefit; an equal-savings tie uses the higher threshold.
Choose how a merchandise tier interacts with product and variant pricing:
- Keep only the better discount compares the form-wide result from regular prices with current catalog pricing and keeps the lower merchandise total.
- Stack with product and variant promos uses the already-discounted catalog subtotal for the threshold and applies the form-wide tier on top.
- Replace product and variant promos calculates the form-wide merchandise result from regular prices. When merchandise tiers are configured, this mode can restore regular pricing even before a tier is reached.
If free shipping is the only configured benefit, catalog pricing remains active regardless of that interaction choice. Percentage and fixed money calculations use exact cents, and fixed discounts cannot reduce an item line below zero.
Configure free shipping
In Products → Sales, turn on Form-wide sale active and Free shipping threshold. Enter Product subtotal at or above, choose Default free method, and set Allow paid shipping upgrades. Add and save a standard shipping method first if the selector has no eligible method or shows (save first). Click Save changes when the rule is complete.
The qualifying subtotal is not necessarily the merchandise total after all discounts:
- A free-shipping-only sale uses the subtotal after product, variant, and bulk promotions.
- Stack with product and variant promos uses that catalog subtotal before subtracting the form-wide merchandise tier.
- Keep only the better discount and Replace product and variant promos use the regular-price subtotal when form-wide merchandise pricing is used; otherwise they use the subtotal after catalog promotions.
For example, a $100 catalog subtotal with a stacking 10% form-wide tier leaves $90 of merchandise, but still qualifies for a $95 free-shipping threshold. Coupons, shipping, and payment surcharges do not count toward the qualifying subtotal. Shipping add-ons remain paid. Quote-after-order methods are not made free automatically.
Choose whether paid method upgrades remain available. If they are disabled, checkout rejects a different method. Existing orders preserve the exact waived method price. If a later item edit loses eligibility, that saved price returns; when the required historical amount is unavailable, the edit stops for review instead of guessing.
The Allow coupons and advanced offers while this sale applies setting is enforced only while a form-wide benefit actually applies to the cart.
Configure coupons and targeted offers
A coupon or advanced automatic offer can:
- Qualify the order, categories, products, or variants.
- Exclude specific categories, products, or variants from the qualifying quantity or spend.
- Require eligible quantity, eligible merchandise subtotal, or both. Every configured requirement is cumulative.
- Reward the same or a different pool, with separate reward exclusions.
- Discount all eligible items once, a fixed amount per eligible unit, the lowest-priced N units, the highest-priced N units, or Buy X Get Y.
- Use best-value quantity tiers, gift-with-purchase, or a multi-requirement bundle.
- Discount shipping, waive payment-method surcharges, or combine those effects with merchandise savings.
- Use schedules, total uses, per-customer uses, first-order-only eligibility, a per-order merchandise cap, a total benefit budget, campaign labels, and stacking rules.
A fixed discount with Discount the eligible items once is one fixed amount per order. Fixed amount off each eligible item and Highest-priced N cap the fixed reward separately at each rewarded unit's price. Lowest-priced N and Buy X Get Y instead multiply the fixed value by the number of rewarded units, cap it at their combined subtotal, and distribute the savings across those rewarded lines. A low-priced rewarded unit does not individually reduce that pooled cap. Every mode also respects any configured per-order merchandise cap. Quantity tiers choose the exact tier that saves the most; a tie uses the higher quantity threshold.
For example, two rewarded units priced at $1 and $100 with a $50 fixed value save $51 with Fixed amount off each eligible item or Highest-priced N set to two, but $100 with Lowest-priced N set to two: the latter caps the combined $100 reward at the $101 rewarded subtotal.
Gift rewards must be a distinct selected target and are 100% off. Gifts and separate bundle rewards must already be ordinary lines in the buyer's cart; EZFormz does not insert them. A bundle uses two through twenty non-overlapping requirement groups, and one cart unit can satisfy only one group. Gift and bundle promotions are always exclusive.
See Create and control coupon codes and Run sales and automatic promotions for the separate workflows.
Understand stacking and limits
Coupons allow one code by default. If Allow Multiple Coupon Codes is on, checkout accepts up to five buyer-entered codes in their entered order.
A stackable code can combine with other eligible stackable codes and stackable automatic offers. An exclusive code cannot combine with another code, advanced automatic offer, or seller manual discount. When no code is present, the highest-priority eligible exclusive automatic offer wins, with a stable identifier breaking a priority tie, and it replaces stackable automatic offers. Gift and bundle offers are always exclusive.
Total-use and per-customer limits count active orders, not discounted units. A total promotion budget includes merchandise discount, shipping discount, and waived payment surcharges. Merchandise caps apply per order. Cancellation or removal from an order releases an active buyer redemption and its budget; changing order quantities reprices the same redemption. Returns and refunds do not independently free a use.
Trust the final checkout result
The browser preview is explanatory. On submit, EZFormz reloads current availability and pricing, recomputes exact catalog, sale, shipping, coupon, and payment-method amounts, and atomically reserves promotion use, budget, and stock with the order. A stale cart receives a price-change response and must be reviewed.
Existing orders keep their saved item, form-wide sale, and promotion snapshots. Changing or deleting current catalog prices or offers does not silently rewrite historical totals. Preview complete boundary carts rather than checking one discount line in isolation.
